The sky above, the ground below
shifting changing as if the earth could feel!
The wind blowing the waves churning shifting the sand with every blow
How do you know it’s all real?
The people walking by without much care
The hustle and bustle of cars like cold metallic eels
A man on the street begging for his wares
How do you know what makes it real?
The trees dancing in the breeze
A lone bear searching for his next meal
From the great blue whale to the mighty flea
How do you know any of this is real?
From all the tinkling shining stars in heaven
And a man with the mischievous devil striking a deal
To a losing gambler begging for a lucky seven
None of it is real.
